"The present D .El.E d. Syllabus aims to pr epare teachers who are able to continuously assess and improve theirprofessional practice as teachers by critica lly reflecting on it, who canunderstand that teaching is embedded in the socialcontext of the learners and who canengage with context and subject matter that they will be teaching. The student-teache rs will also be acquainted with the modes of inquiry and epistemological Syllabuss of their subjects,familiarized with how children learn so that they can develop and use teachi ng strategi es that are responsive to the learning needs of all their learners in diverse and plural settings o f elementary classrooms. "

Eligibility

1. Candidates with at least 50% marks in the higher secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination are eligible for admission.
2. The reservation and relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government / State Government, whichever is applicable.
